How's your credit? It's a good idea to know the answer to that and to make sure it's accurate. Now you can get the information for free. Three nationwide consumer reporting companies are now offering free annual credit reports to people in 12 Midwest states. Sam Hohman, CEO of Credit Advisors, says it's a good offer but one that comes up short. Hohman says, "These free credit reports are a good start but they have limited information. They don't contain analysis. They don't contain your FICA scores, which is what people are most interested in, and their medical history is also not detailed." A credit report can easily be checked at www.annualcreditreport.com. We ran one thru Equifax, one of three providers. It took only a few minutes to fill out the form.
